Satellite navigation systems in cars?

I want to now which sat nav system works legally in Europe. And the Sat nav we use in the uk, Do the Speed camera Program switch off|||You can legally have speed camera warnings in the UK. The police argue that if we have them then we will know to slow down in time and that's kind of the point. As for the Europe thing I don't know, but I do know my TomTom has major roads of europe.|||I know that the Tom Tom Go 700 has street level mapping for europe|||Sat-Nav is legal in all EU, but there may be local regulations on having it in the windscreen. Camera DETECTORS are illegal everywhere, but camera NOTIFICATION from GPS/database is generally legal. Exception is Switzerland where status is still uncertain. Often wise to have a document explaining the situation as local police can shoot first and ask later.
