Is there any free map software I can get for my laptop that doesn't require internet connection?

I don't need anything with GPS or satellite navigation, just a simple map I can use when on the go.

You might be able to download a map from a friend's GPS.


Otherwise an A-Z map would be as good!|||I have a programme called AA Milemaster which I bought many years ago. Its loaded into the computer from a disc and you can plan and print out any route you are interested in. Don't know if you can still buy it as its really old now but why not Google it and see what comes up.|||i think there is a offline version fo google earth
