What are some vehicles below $16,00 that have the touch screen in the middle?

I'm looking for something in my price rage that has the touch screen navigation and all that in it. My mom had a 2008 Ford Escape limited and it had navigation and satellite radio and all that and I lovedd it.|||Buick Reattas have a touch screen but it controls the car mostly, and they came out before gps navigation

another one i can think of is an 89 civic, a tomtom, and some hot glue!

What Makes a GPS Navigation System "IFR Approved"?

I heard it had to be permanently mounted, it must acquire a certain number of satellites and have barometric altimeter encoded in. What's the real deal on IFR certification requirements for primary navigation with GPS? What prevents a portable from ever becoming instrument certified?|||In the US the FAA uses two specifications for IFR GPS installations they are covered by a technical standard order, TSO C129 (A1) and TSO C129 (A2). A1 being en route, terminal and non-precision approach-certified (A2) drops the approach ability. Those TSO's have specific installed requirements and tests. You simply can't meet those requirements with a portable unit, RAIM (Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring) is one area where portables have issues among others.

Even the remote altimeter requires wiring as does the required remote display head (CDI) and soon you have so many wires that HAVE TO CONNECT there is no easy quick way to have the unit still portable.

You can read the TSO at http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidan鈥?/a>

With the costs of getting a unit approved under those orders, which is not insignificant, there are no portables that have done it nor is there a good reason for the manufacturer to do it and accept the liability involved.|||An IFR certified GPS unit has to be permanently installed, tested and certified as part of the total aircraft navigation system. A portable unit just doesn't qualify by the FAA standards.|||Certified accuracy within limits established by FAA for use in the IFR system at least the same as VOR navigation.

How do you use the tuner instead of channel preset navigation on a pioneer DEH-P8600mp car stereo?

Hi - I somehow set my Pioneer DEH-P8600MP car stereo to navigate satellite radio channels only by channel presets. I can't navigate from category to category. If I push up or down on the multi-function button, the tuner goes through the various station presets. I used to be able to navigate through the satellite radio categories by pushing up on down on the multifunction button. Also, I cannot enter station numbers using the remote. If I push a number on the remote it goes to the preset. If I push a number that does not correspond to a preset, nothing happens. Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave|||I'd suggest using the "search" option vs. the preset. It's usually the same option that changes tracks in the cd mode.

Why it that the Car-Models introduced in different region diffrent or the car-makers simply racist?

The carc introduced in the USA and the European countries have the latest accessories, electronics %26amp; technology while the ones of the same models introduced in Middle-East just have the least of the accessories, electronics %26amp; technology. eg: Blootooth, Mp3 Player, Satellite Navigation, Parking Sensor, Woofer Speakers, Central Lock, Keyless Entry, etc.But the price is the almost the same.

If you introduce these cars without these things then they should cost less. Just by taking away the Satellite navigation system should make the Model cheaper by $ 1,000 minimum.|||The resaon is tarrifs imposed by other countries and the dollar conversion rate. A car might seem more expensive but if our dollar is valued at twice the rate of there currency then it well cost twice as much in there currency. Also it costs alot of money to ship a vehicle overseas. Thats one of the reasons general motors bought the daewoo company out, they didn't want there cars, they wanted acess to there factories and there location in asia, trust me race doesn't make a difference its just about cost and profit!|||The oil money in the middle east only goes to the elite few. Most people can't afford those luxury items, so it doesn't make sense to sell them.|||oneword profits..|||1. Have you considered where this vehicle was assembled and shipping and handling costs?

2. The market in which the cars are sold is also important. This is influenced by the variety of cars available in a certain country. If there isn't a lot of different car available in a certain place the price tends to be higher.

In North America/Europe there is a great variety of american, japanese, korean, german, etc. car available so prices tend to be lower. The North American car buyer is different because they want a high amount of quality for lowest price. That makes competition among vehicle manufacturers tough!

Satellite Navigations Systems?

what is the best of the sat navs|||tom tom 920 is the ultimate tool|||TomTom is pretty good. It's easy to use %26amp; update, but it does have weaknesses. For example in rural areas it sometimes takes you miles along minor roads when there's a more major road alternative, %26amp; in town it seems not to know about direct routes other than major roads that all the locals use. Still, if you follow its directions it will usually get you there reliably enough. Sometimes it can confuse you on roundabouts saying things like "take the second exit" when it really means the third exit, so you should check the map screen. But one of its major advantages is that it quickly recalculates if you take a wrong turn %26amp; doesn't keep telling you to turn round unless there's no alternative.

Some satnav systems don't automatically recalculate %26amp; you have to stop %26amp; reset them, otherwise they still tell you to turn round even if you rejoin their original route further on.

You'll always hear stories of directions being out of date, for example ending up in a pub car-park as you've been directed to a bridge across a river (it was the Severn) that no longer exists. But the map databases are constantly being updated so this sort of thing shouldn't be a regular problem, but it will happen from time to time on any system. The important thing is that you can update the software easily.

As satnavs develop, more stuff will be added. There is another (rather expensive) system that updates as you drive to avoid traffic jams, but unless you're white van man on time bonus rates, you probably won't find the extra investment worth it just yet. The French already have randonees available for walkers, not likely yet in the UK, but the possibilities are limitless.

You may also find some of the other features useful, like a warning that you're speeding %26amp; it tells you where all the fixed safety cameras are, but don't get overconfident as it can't detect ad hoc speedtraps.

You pay your money %26amp; take your choice, then get used to the way it works on routes you know before relying on it.|||tom tom go 720 rules!|||I have the cheapest one on the market... tomtom1 and it even has blue tooth!

it is a great gps the best for the money at the moment.

$149 future shop.

Canada|||Whilst tomtom is one of the better known systems, and is regarded by many as the best.. there are plenty of alternatives..

The cheapest at the moment is one called the navigo from ebuyer, at 拢49.95 including delivery...

Better still, as it runs on Windows CE, it is easy to install tomtom on it... so it works exactly the same as tomtom, but at half the cost... it also plays MP3's and MP4 videos..

I have one, and it is running tomtom 6 very successfully.|||tom tom

How do i watch television on my psp?

i have recently heard that you can watch t.v on your psp and have satellite navigation on it. how do i do this?|||Well you can use remote play and the ps3 tv feutrue to stream tv or use a location free base player (something like 拢200) and stream tv to your PSP that way, as for sat nav yes there is add-on you buy which connects via the usb port and allows for you to use your PSP as a sat nav system.|||i dont think you can

Is there a bike with built-in computer sensor for heart rate, calorie burn, distance, average speed etc?

I would like to buy a good touring bicycle available with sensors similar to those on some exercise bikes that pick up your pulse from the hand-held grips, give you feedback on your heart rate, the calories you have burned, the distance you have covered and your average speed. Alternatively, is there a good quality and easy to fit add-on to my bicycle, perhaps one that includes satellite navigation?|||Unfortunately there are no bikes or wheels with built in sensors. The reason is that everyone likes something different when it comes to this. There are so many aftermarket computers to track mileage, speed, etc. that it may take you a while to figure out exactly what you need. Computers from Cateye are great and offer a full range of cycling measurement. Polar brand adds heart rate monitoring and other measurements of your bodies performance. They tend to be more expensive. There are no integrated GPSs yet. But i'd imagine they are coming down the road.

My personal preference is toward wireless computers. They are easy to install and don't clutter your bike with more wires.|||Yes there is, a gps manufacturer makes a couple of models that monitor heart beat, speed, mileage, etc. Go to ebay and search gps bike monitor or gps bike
