Satellite Navigation systems map updates for Becker Traffic Assist Highspeed II 7988 or for any other system?

Is a downloadable map update facility available anywhere? To update from NavTeq (who were preloaded on this device) is at least 拢100 via DVD. Roads in NW Kent are changing at such a pace, navigation here is fraught. Without regular updates SatNavs are going to become defunct.
