Whats the best Satellite Navigation available in Australia?

I want an easy user interface, clear screen display. Am not worried about price. Just want the best.|||I have been in the same situation before, being diagnosed with Anxiety and having panic attacks going to areas that are unfamiliar but as part of work I have to travel.

I myself have a MS5000 by VDO Dayton, only because of the big screen and remote which I can use to enter data into the unit.

The current one of these is the MS5200 here : http://www.vdodayton.com/default2_and_fz_menu=mon_ms_5200_xs.aspx

But I am unsure if this is for sale in Australia. The MS5000 was available in Australia, I purchased mine about 9 years ago.

The current popular one that I have heard of is TomTom, which is quite easy to use in terms of pressing touch screen options and so forth, and this you can find more information on here: http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=412%26amp;Category=0%26amp;Lid=8

There are other options out there, but for me I still prefer the MS5000 unit as I have it hooked up to a 8" screen in the car, and it is a permanent mount unit. It means it is a lot more convenient to me being permanently and securely mounted in the car and insured, as well as having a big screen to see everything on and a louder navigation voice that has been hooked up in my car.

I hope this helps.|||Here's an idea.. why don't you donate the $2,500 you'll be spending on the "best" navigator on a worthwhile charitable cause.. and go back to making half an effort and using the good old tried and tested road map or street directory!!

Driving while using a navigator is dangerous, the navigator itself is a waste of resources.. so you are creating a market for bulldung simply because you probably watch too many American sitcoms and have to buy all the gear.. not knowing the magazines and sitcoms are all getting a cut of every dollar you end up spending on such useless overpriced rubbish!

I've used navigators since they first came out, and they are not worth owning as far as I'm concerned.. not unless you work as a courier and need to find alternate routes through traffic snarls.. otherwise its just an expensive toy to show off to friends..
