Satellite TV are known to lose their signals in inclement weather. Does this happen in navigation devices since they also use satellites?|||Yes, satellite navigation still works in the rain. It may reduce the signal quality somewhat, but the amount of data coming in for GPS navigation is not as reliant on continuous quality as satellite TV signals.|||depends on if clouds are blocking your signal.|||Different frequency, designed to avoid weather related problems. Of coourse, if your receiver is hit by lightning, that's weather related....
Seriously, though, GPS is normally unaffected by terrestrial weather, although solar weather has been known to be a problem.|||It works in all weather|||Rareley if ever|||I wouldn't think so. If anything, solar flares would disrupt navigation devices before rain would. It would have to be a very, very bad storm for the signal not to get through.
