Yes. First you install a cigarette lighter.|||Maybe you should just use a map!|||get a portable one|||Yes... as long as you charge it up at home.. you don't need a ciggie lighter|||yes you can, by hooking it up to a spare fuse in your car fuse box, you will always find spare sockets not used and by wiring the GPS to this and inserting a fuse of the correct amperage you should be okay, if you're not sure on the wiring get an auto electrician to do it|||yes you can
yes it involves splitting the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter
find the positive and negative wires in there (usually black and red)
opening up your dash or the part behind your radio and connecting the red positive wire of the plug to a wire that tests positive when the ignition is on
and connecting the black wire to any metal part of the car or ground wire,
its relatively simple to do if u understand the basics of electronics
and you u know which wires to cut and join
if you want more info, ask again and include the model of your car and such|||Yes, plug it into a friend's cig lighter and get him/her to drive alongside you.|||Yes. But please don't listen to 2nd year electronics students, a little knowledge can sometimes be dangerous!!!
